I met an old man today. And it may sound over dramatic or something, but I... feel like my life was changed by that chance encounter, in some small way. If nothing else, he was unforgettable to me. I don't think I've ever met a stranger with that sort of effect on me before - I really don't think I will ever forget him.

I hung out with Rachael and Victoria after work last night. ♥ I'm still not 100% sure Rachael is not!mad, but the fact that we were hanging out again was fantastic.

Okay I think I need a brief update for you guys here, in order that I think of things:

-School is a bitch. My teachers acknowledge this but that changes nothing.
-Oh my god those essays killed my life. And then one of them got pushed back to next week and I don't even know if I can make it better for then and I am not confident but I think I'm bordering on not caring anymore.
-I need to memorize some Shakespeare for tomorrow. I should work on that.
-Checked out Glendon's campus. Wasn't quite what I expected, but still pretty nice. Still struggling to decide between Glendon and Ottawa. x_x
-Found out about awesome job opportunities near Ottawa, though! If I am good enough for them. This isn't even self-confidence speaking, you just need to be bilingual, more or less. I am not sure I can get my French to quite that level in the coming months. :|
-This is around where I paused for dinner. And lost my train of thought.
-New job! I work at Chapters now, it's a seasonal position - so I'll last until about January 16th? Yeah.
-I don't know where I'm going with any of this; it's mostly been... school. Yes.

Real updates are for losers. It's a bit late in the day, but this seemed more important.

I've been thinking about that a bit too much lately. I'd probably just try to get in contact with everyone and tell them I love them. I don't think I have anything important enough to say anything in particular to anyone in particular. So I'd just say "I love you", "goodbye" or "sorry" to as many people as possible. But who knows, maybe by the time I die I'll have something important to say, lmao. LONG LIVE COMMUNISM or something asinine like that. B|



On another note: I failed because I succeeded too much. It was just what I needed, huh?

I'm alive. Maybe. I think.

Been super crazy busy lately, apparently? I just wrote an entire essay just now. I don't think I'm going to bother editing it. :\ Have another one due in exactly a week, also a goddamn hard subject. Plus some journals due on Monday. And a few other big assignments soon. A-and I'm supposed to have the first 12 chapters of Monte Cristo done for tomorrow, but because I've been lolbusy? I'm on Chapter seven. Uh. Crap?

This weekend I have my first shift at Chapters. The following day I'm going to Toronto for the campus tour at Glendon College (University Choice #2).

I've been epic SUPER MOOD SWINGS. It's pretty fantastic. If by fantastic you mean going from hating laif and being super depressed to wanting to dance with someone and feeling you can do anything! It's pretty extreme. x_x

I feel like I have so much else to say, but I can't think of anything else, what. So I guess I'll try another update eventually? Other than that, what's up with you guys? c:

PS: I've not bought myself something in a long while and I start work this weekend. By my calculations I'll make nearly $100 this Saturday (maybe like $80? idk). It's a pretty long shift? idk. Buuut to get to the point. I am thinking of getting this dress. Possibly seeing if I can order it in a dark red (like the colour from the polkadot sample) with a light, light mint green underskirt, for a christmas sort of theme to it. Because that will be the main time I will wear it. A quick photoshop of what I have in mind. Alternatively, order it as-is, Navy or Brown. Not that I think any (except MAYBE the brown) would look at all good on me. x_x
Also the site in general isn't that great of quality. But that is the cheapest I'm going to get something like that. XD The shipping is still a bit crazy, too, but.

Attention to people near-ish me! Actually this is mostly for box_of_doom or something. But open to anyone else near enough to drive to Toronto area? idk. The musical Toxic Avenger is playing with the tickets $15 from the 20th-30th (or so?) fft. I want to go see it (if I can scrape up the cash. I probably have it... in change, lmao). I asked Danielle if she might be interested in coming with me, if I can get the money, but I wanted to see if anyone else was interested in a party or something idek. B| *lame*

Happy Thanksgiving, f-list.

So, some of you may know why I'm never around on Fridays (at least not much): I hang out with Rachael and Victoria. Pretty much without fail once a week, usually Friday. And one thing we often do, Rachael being the Starbucks lover, Victoria the coffee lover and me the 'I'm-cool-with-whatever' guy, we go to Starbucks. It also happens to be in the lobby area of the largest chain bookstore here. Which I love by the way. So it all works out!

First off all, today we made ourselves quite clearly... atypical teenagers. We sat at the table, the others sipping their coffee and me nomming my fruit... talking about politics. And school and sexuality, but mostly politics. Like the improvements we'd like to see in government systems, for example. We were talking especially about stuff like... the repealing of 'sex trade' laws in Canada, which is a current hot topic (all three of us, by the way, support legalization of prostitution, as backwards as it might sound). I noticed the guy next to us (an middle aged man studying, for the record) glance over a few times, but thought nothing of it - until he apparently was interested in our conversation enough that he joined it. So there we were, three seventeen year old girls and fire fighter (exciting!) discussing politics and government in the middle of Starbucks.

It was pretty awesome, I have to say.

Even better was the afterwards - we went into the bookstore itself (after talking in Starbuck for like three freaking hours XD). Victoria read through the new Post Secret book, Rachael skimmed some other books (including some on sexuality and seduction! Apparently I am ~floating gender~. Because I just. Fit into none of the other categories, lmao)... and I engrossed myself into a book on cupcakes

Oh my god there were some amazing designs and ideas in there. I think that I'm going to try making some of them, and upload pictures, if I can. ♥ We'll see!

And it gets better? Or something. I submitted an online resumé the other day to them, right? So I thought I'd give them a hard copy today. I gave it to the guy handling that, and he explained that they were just starting looking for seasonal or wtfever help, and asked my availability. Which is afternoons and weekends, of course - he responded by asking how early on weekends. Apparently there is a super early morning stocking shift on weekends. I said I was cool with it!

"We probably won't do any interviews this weekend and we're closed Monday. So you can expect to hear from us on Tuesday or Wednesday."

Read: I just dropped off like a bajillion resumés, and all of them had my cell number on them - so I'm going to make sure that my phone never ever dies again. B|

OKAY SO MAYBE IT WAS MORE LIKE TEN OF THEM.

And three places that I need to send in resumés online for - Coles (which might not be open to them, yet? But it's the same site as Chapters, so I think I'll do that...), The Source (which I dropped a hard copy off at, too, so it's one of the ten) and Futureshop (they gave me a card and everything! 8D).

The other nine (excluding Source, since I mentioned that one all ready): EB Games, Off The Wall, HMV, Green Earth, The Disney Store, Gamestop, Hallmark, Rogers and the... Pet Food Store. I pay attention to where I apply for work, honest. B| To be fair, the Pet Food Store's name was barely more complicated than that! And they weren't hiring (like a lot of those places, uh XD; ), they're just keeping my resumé on file in case they need someone later. B| IDK. Still a few places I want to apply, but whatever. Like the other Pet Food store! B| And Chapters, as I mentioned.
